I want to talk about things like moving out...baking...crafting...an interesting new website I found using stumbleupon.com...and how I made an account for Brandt to stumble.
We'll go backwards!!!
How I Made an Account for Brandt to Stumble
I learned so much in writing class that I have no idea if I used the capital letters correctly for the smaller words...oh so confusing!
When I learnt about stumbleupon.com I decided to share it with Brandt by walking into his apartment one day while he was playing that WONDERFUL (not) game of Dungeons and Dragons and ignoring me and I decided to hack his computer per say by making him an account. I tagged all of his interests and then started to stumble. AND THAT WAS THAT. Not sure if he ever uses it...probably not. He's been busy busy busy lately!
An Interesting New Website I Found Using Stumbleupon.com
The site is called http://myfridgefood.com/ and all you do is stress over what you're going to make over dinner- go to this website- go back to the kitchen where you were stressing- memorize what you have in the kitchen- go back to the computer- check the list and mark the ingredients you have- then surf through all of the recipes and it'll tell you if you have100% of the ingredients or not. I did that today and I said that I could make shortbread...so...I'm about to one-up them girl scouts! It gave me a lot of recipes with eggs...apparently they could only make as much as I could think of myself. Though I did come up with, on my own, the idea to make tuna noodle soup. I've got some tuna, some vegetable broth and some mixed veggies in a can...we'll see. I may only have 8 1/2 days here but my food is dwindling either way.
Crafting
Duh I'm going to talk about crafting! I wish I had a picture of the Christmas Explosion that went on in our living room at home because I went to town...like I try and always do during this time of the year. Decorating for the holidays is the main reason I want my own house NOW! Money in the pocket is needed for that though...actually money in the bank is what's really called for and I don't have either. $10 cash and "spending money" in the bank does not equal BANKIN...it's closer to BANKRUPT.
What I want to work on next is a 25 days 'til Christmas count down. I will need a piece of wood, some paint...glitter paint- sure!, 25 hook-screws, and 25 Christmas esque charms! Maybe they'll be numbers...that would make sense...or the numbers can be on the board.
I also want to work on napkin rings. I will need the bucket of magnets in our garage from my Grandma's house and some wide band rings to glue the magnets onto.
Then, I want to make an extremely cheap "curtain rod." You know how they make those curtain rings with the clips on them? Well I was thinking about painting clothespins and gluing them to some sort of board and sticking that (using command tape) above the windows or around the walls. OR I could just get two metal rings and tie string to it and have command hooks on either side of the window/along the walls and just pin the fabric like I was hanging up clothes to dry on the line.
FUN!

Next!
Cider Nog!
2 cups half-and-half
• 1 cup milk
• 1 cup apple cider
• 2 large eggs
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup whipping cream, whipped
• Garnish: cinnamon sticks
Preparation:
• Whisk together first 8 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; cook over medium-low heat, whisking occasionally, until mixture thickens and coats a spoon (about 15 minutes). Stir in bourbon, if desired. Top each serving with whipped cream. Garnish, if desired.
What's funny is that the day before I served this I realized that "heavy whipping cream" was whippable into whipped topping. I'm quick.
Moving Out
I need some good thinking space...I needed it this whole semester but I dealt with it anyways...so I'm moving out to find my artistic inspiration. I'm supper excited! WooHoo! See! That was excitement. It's just for the 5 months I'm in school. Maybe I'll have a Valentine's day party. Hahaha! I wont go planning those kinds of things now...though that's probably the only way I'd have anything like that and now's the only time I'll have to plan such a thing...not really. I could make better friends that way though...and keep them.
