ONE DAY, ONE HOUR, ONE MINUTE.

Tom's Shoes sponsored a day without shoes on Thursday, April 16th. Though not many people went through with it here at TLU, nor did they understand the whole purpose of not making up excuses to not where shoes, the things I experienced that day meant a lot to me and hopefully to those children in Africa.

The morning of I was almost stressing over what shoes to wear when it hit me! I wasn't wearing shoes today! Apparently I got away with eating breakfast shoeless because during lunch I wasn't allowed in, not nice. I wonder what they would've done if I just pretended to not hear them. What? I don't have to pay today? Thanks...walk walk walk. :P

My feet stayed tender all day practically. I always wake up with soft feet, therefore, walking to Hein was not fun across the pavement.

Hopefully at some point I can get around to buying some Tom's. I find it hard to just hand over money to helpful organizations, but buying things that are physical things right in front of me make all the difference. Like the other day I was at Borders and they were doing a book drive, I bought one of the Box Cart Children's books and donated it to the cause. I loved those books when I was young, and hopefully whoever gets it will too.

Excuses are things said when someone doesn't want to do something, reasons are what really happened or what really matters. Therefore I'd rather it not happen when I mean to do something but it just isn't possible and someone calls my reason's excuses. It happened today, that's why I'm stressing that thought.

Pictured is Lauren's and my feet :) No shoes hurray!
